With over a million systems sold (1.3 million, to be more exact), Avaya PARTNER ACS qualifies as one of the most popular communications systems the world over.  And it’s about to get even better.

On April 6th say hello to PARTNER ACS R8.0.  It’s got a wealth of new features and capabilities that you will love, including:

  • Maintenance Monitoring and Diagnostics – reduce or eliminate customer visits with real-time monitoring; view system errors and update software remotely
  • Absent Text Messaging – this new “presence” feature lets users convey their status, helping improve responsiveness and productivity
  • SIP Trunking – help customers lower their monthly service provider fees by enabling SIP service (requires 3rd party gateway sold separately)
  • Integrated SMDI – lets customers integrate with third-party PC applications (like screen pops) and is now included with every PARTNER ACS system
  • Caller ID on Analog Sets – many PARTNER customers use cordless analog sets to roam; now they’ll also see incoming caller ID on those handsets

As far as the best telephone company it all depends on your specific needs. I don’t think we really think in terms of a certain company being the best dial tone service provider. Rather we focus on finding the right solution for our clients. So when we consult on telephone service we may consider a dozen options before recommending one. We also consider what your telephone system hardware is and it’s capabilities in relation to the service provider.
